Julie Russell KCAI(CD), CDBdist is holding courses aimed at trainers who are working towards becoming KCAI Kennel Club Accredited Instructors on The Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme for Instructors in Dog Training and Canine Behaviour. As the Mentor for the Midlands region she is available to Members on the Scheme for advice and is now offering a course covering the ‘C’ section of the portfolio requirement. This covers modules C1-C10 which includes Qualities required of an Instructor, Planning and running training sessions/courses, Assessment and evaluation – people, dogs and groups, Exercises, Teaching Methods, Progress, tests, competitions and judging, Problems and corrective advice (training and management problems), Managing resources and safety and Provision of a good service
